The 596th meeting of the Sydney University Chemical Society will be held on Wednesday 14th April in Le Fèvre Lecture Theatre 2 of the Chemistry Building on the campus of The University of Sydney. The speaker will be Prof. Albert Mau from CSIRO MolSci.

Anti-counterfeiting development is a worldwide effort among central banks. More a more countries are using new devices based on optical phenomena and nano-structures to act as deterrents for the potential counterfeiters. Research at CSIRO and Note Printing Australia are currently working on the implementation of newer materials which has an interesting implication of using science to make Money. Some of these devices will be demonstrated at the lecture.
