22.05.07 - An article concerning the synthesis of a series of platinum(II) complexes containing a chelating diimine
(bipy, phen) and 3- or 4-pyridineboronic acid ligands was published. Preliminary thermal denaturation studies revealed only minimal interactions between these complexes and calf-thymus DNA which is attributed to hydroxylation of the boronic acid groups at biological pH to afford the corresponding zwitterionic boronate species.
