Chemical Spectroscopy

The School has built up major research instrumentation facilities (or has agreements that secure access to national and international facilities) in areas including NMR spectroscopy, EPR spectroscopy, mass spectrometry, vibrational spectroscopy, electronic spectroscopy, X-ray absorption spectroscopy, laser spectroscopy, surface analysis, and low temperature spectroscopies. Staff in the School provide both a knowledge base for chemical spectroscopy but have also been instrumental in developing new spectroscopic methods and applications.
